FAQ

Where is St. Bride’s located?

We are just north of Clarkson Road and Truscott at 1516 Clarkson Road North, L5J 2W9.

From the highway: QEW take Exit 126, follow Southdown Rd. south. Turn left on Truscott, and then left onto Clarkson Road.

From the Go Train: The closest Go Station is Clarkson (about 2 kilometres away).

We are looking forward to your arrival!

What services do you have and what restrictions do you have due to the COVID-19 pandemic?

We have services at 8:30am and 10am on Sunday mornings.  You can learn more about our services here.

Where do I park?

We’re pleased to share that there is ample parking onsite, including Disabled Parking spots. In the rare and unlikely circumstance that the lot is full, you can park across the street at Benares Museum, or behind the church on Agnew, which runs parallel to Clarkson between Truscott and Christopher.

Is the church accessible?

Yes! St. Bride's is wheelchair accessible. Anyone with mobility issues is encouraged to use the rear entrance, where our greeters will be situated. They can arrange for someone to take you up the elevator to the main church. Next to the elevator on the ground level, we have a wheelchair accessible washroom.

We also have assistive listening devices for those who are hard of hearing and large-print bulletins for those who wish them. Guide dogs are welcome.

What if I need assistance?

If you need assistance at a Sunday service, don’t hesitate to speak to a greeter, sides person, or warden (they’re easy to spot because they wear a large medallion!) They would be happy to help you in any way. If you are looking for assistance during the week, please call the church office at (905) 822-0422 or email info@churchofstbride.com.

Can I meet the Pastor?

You can meet our minister, Stephen, at the beginning of most 10 a.m. services. He is usually there to greet parishioners and welcome them to the church. Whomever is preaching or assisting will also be there to greet you on the way out of any of our services.

Of course, you are welcome  to arrange a meeting during the week with Stephen or another member of our clergy team. If you’re visiting on a Sunday, an easy way to make contact is to fill out one of the visitor cards in the pew and put it on the collection plate or hand it to the minister or warden on your way out. Stephen will contact you in the following week to follow up. You can email him directly at rector@churchofstbride.com.

How do I get information about upcoming events and programs?

For those visiting our church we’ve placed a welcome brochure in every pew for you to take home. Inside you’ll find a complete information package for those interested in learning more about our church, events, and important news. From time-to-time throughout the year we host Special events, open to anyone in the community. For these occasions, invitations are created to invite family, friends and neighbours.

Classes/Gatherings

Christianity 101

Do you have questions about what Christians believe? Have you always wanted to have an opportunity to talk with clergy and others about your spiritual questions? Then Christianity 101 is for you! Christianity 101 is a basic introduction to the Christian faith. The three evening sessions are conducted in an informal and conversational way with lots of opportunity for discussion and questions. Anyone is welcome to take this class—even if you have never been inside a church before! The course is offered three or four times per year. Email Stephen Peake
(rector@churchofstbride.com) if you are interested or have any questions.

Confirmation Classes

Wondering about Confirmation Classes and how to sign up? We hold classes after the 8:30 a.m. service from February to May. This is a good opportunity for anyone 12 years of age and older to learn more about their faith and reaffirm their baptismal vows.

Information and Social Evenings

Come join Stephen Peake (Rector of St. Bride's), a few church members and various ministry leaders as St. Bride's hosts its casual Information and Social Evening. This is your opportunity to learn about St. Bride's history and to find out about current activities. Through short, lively presentations you’ll learn about our worship services, ongoing ministry programs, and outreach projects. There’s ample time built in for questions, conversation and refreshments. These evenings are arranged twice a year (in the fall and spring) for anyone looking for a new church home or for folks beginning their faith journey at St. Bride’s. Watch the website for specific dates and times for our Information and Social Evenings or email secretary@churchofstbride.com for more information.

Vacation Bible School

Calling all kids aged 4 to 11 for a fantastic half-day program at St. Bride's, organised for one week during the summer! The themed program includes lively and fun activities, games, crafts, and music based on Bible stories and Christian values.
